Find your Wax Removal Tool and place your thumbprint in the bowl with the flat edge situated as shown in the photo.
You want your can of Cope on the left side and your tool on the right side. Remove the original lid if you haven't already.
The edge of the tool closest to your thumbnail is filed to provide a good scraping edge, without being sharp.
Hold the can on a flat surface with your left hand and present the scraping edge to the wax ring on the can, with your right hand.
Proceed to rotate the can counter clockwise, slowly and steadily, toward the scraping edge.
You should see a nice curl of wax come off as you rotate. If not, check the way your scraper is contacting the edge of the can and adjust it's angle.
You may want to go around a couple times. Once you can't see any curls coming off, then you're probably finished.
Well done! Now your Florida Cracker Trading Company Can Lid should slide onto the can with only a little effort. The inside of the lid rim is slightly tapered, to maintain freshness.
